The band spent two years recording Shadow of Love. The album features Dan White on lead vocals. As he has done so frequently, Dan uniquely captures the heart and soul of these multi- genre songs. Shortly after we started tracking ,Ashley Jordan joined the project, singing closely with Dan on stacked and echo harmonies and woven counterpoint. A skilled vocalist, experienced session singer and vocal instructor, Ashley is showcased on Changing Places.
Alicia Maxwell, Kat Lee and Lindsay Lee sang background vocals. The result is a memorable set of vocal performances and mixes.

Lindsay Lee also played a wide variety of virtual instruments in this project from Hammond B3s to an assortment of beds, clavinets and even an electronic banjo.
Typical of the Jeff Bove Project, the songs shift styles from hard rock to smooth Latin to pop/funk.“Guardian Angel”, a moving ballad, reflects on enduring faith.”Prisoner of Fate” speaks of struggles confronting everyday people—“I feel like a beggar in the street, trying to find something that’s mine to keep”.”Pushed Me in the Street Today” talks about the current state of society. All of the rhythm tracks were composed by Jeff Bove and written into beat tracks by Dave Lee. From there Dave and Jeff built the percussion and drum tracks and used virtual basses and electric bass guitars layered and linked with a variety of kick drums, congas, toms, percussion instruments and acoustic drums.
Tommy Alderson played bass guitar and electric and acoustic guitars including a Framus classical guitar. Tom’s lead guitar work is stellar.
Blayne Salerni played trumpet and Andrew Bedell played sax, providing smooth horn backgrounds and funk stabs. All the songs were written, engineered, mixed and produced by Jeff Bove. Dave Lee co-engineered and edited the record and Lindsay added production assistance during the vocal tracking sessions. Jeff produced and arranged the vocals. Fab DuPont mastered the record at Flux Studios in NYC. This is FAB’s sixth record with the Jeff Bove Project.
Shadow of Love is meant to existentially capture the envelopment of each of us and our world , physically and spiritually, in a cloak of positivity and closeness. We all stand together in the Shadow of Love.
