Playing With House Money

Playing With House Money is the fifth CD by the Jeff Bove Project. This is another multi-genre record,seventeen songs, featuring the lead vocals of Dan White, Alicia Maxwell and Kat Lee, who gave us some truly outstanding singing.Check out Dan on I Just Want You To Know and One By One and Alicia on Upside Down and Take A Ride With Me.

The record also features some great lead guitar work by Tommy Alderson, including some special solos on a nylon string Framus classical guitar on Never Be Lonely and Show Me.Lead guitar solos are rare on modern recordings these days so it’s great to hear Tommy play. Tommy also played bass.

Lindsay Lee once again contributed his exceptional piano work including some “Lindsay solos” on Bring Your Love My Way and Take A Ride With Me.He also sings a few memorable duets with daughter Kat on Bring Your Love My Way and Never Be Lonely.And Lindsay played a lot of organ on this record.

David Poland adds his unique brand of violin solos on Sweet New England and Eyes of the World. Add to this some background singing by Sandy Lee,drums and percussion by Dave Lee,sax and flute by Andrew Bedell, horns by Blayne Salerni, rhythm guitar and virtual instruments by Jeff and you have House Money.

All of the songs were written, arranged, engineered ,produced and mixed by Jeff. Lindsay assisted with vocal arrangements and Dave and Lindsay helped out with the vocal production. Dave assisted with mix editing and co-engineering the mixes.

As with all the Jeff Bove Project records, the mastering was done by our friend and mentor,FAB Dupont, in the Dangerous Room at Flux Studios.
