At the end of the Fires Across the Canyon project in late 2013 Jeff started writing the songs for Still Resting From High School. The band began recording in 2014. They spent two years tracking the album with Jeff engineering each session. And Jeff spent months arranging the material.  Jeff and Dave Lee then began mixing the record over a period of six months in 2016 while adding the final tracks.

What started out as a simple 12 song project ended up as over one hundred minutes of recorded music—24 songs in all. And a total of 11 musicians performed on the record.

Once completed , the record was then turned over to Grammy award winning producer and engineer Fab Dupont who spent days directing some mix recalls,  and then mastering the project at his Flux Studios in NYC.

Artwork and web site design was supplied by Dave Meredith of Meredith Web Design.

The record is best characterized by the exceptional vocal work of Dan White, Kat Lee and Alicia Maxwell. No one could have predicted the special blend and texture of these vocals. The vocal harmony work and arrangements(by Jeff and Lindsay Lee) are extraordinary. Not to mention  the variety of lead vocals and instrumentation which resulted in an endlessly changing sound from one song to the next. Add to that the stellar instrumental lead guitar solos of Tommy Alderson, the unique violin leads of David Poland, the ever creative piano and keyboard solos of Lindsay Lee, the Celtic harp performances of Janet Witman and trumpet and sax parts of Blayne Salerni and Andrew Bedell and you have the double CD  Still Resting From High School.

So now about the songs. Still Resting From High School comprises two CD’s. Side One is named “Eating Celery on the Corner of The Block” and Side Two is named “I’m Not Smokin Anymore”. The music and lyrics to all 24 songs were written and arranged by Jeff. Here’s a brief description of the music.
